12/13/24 @player First update on the game in- oh my! Has it really been 23 days since I last touched this project? I guess so... I was cooking this one up while trying to fall asleep last night. Splash texts, very similar to Minecraft's splash text. I added about 15 of them, and I need your help making some more. There is now a suggestions channel (splash-text-suggestions) for you all to contribute and personalize the game a little bit. try and keep them short as there isn't a ton of space for them to fit. Under 20 words should work, but 15 is a safer bet.
11/16/24 Mirrored the main menu with slightly less capability and softer colors to create the wonderful escape menu! It lets you navigate ~95% of the main menu from the game itself as well as letting you go back to the start screen. Yes, pre-alpha 1.0 lacked capability to move in between scenes and resulted in abuse of alt + f4. Pre-alpha 1.1 will be coming soon with the addition of the new escape menu and "Developer speed". Base speed may be buffed in the release of the game depending on the need to get around the map. As of alpha testing, base speed is relatively low. However the speed that the game releases with will stay in the series. 2NA (sequel) will not get the "Below Zero treatment" of a smaller map and nerfed speed to make the illusion of a bigger game.
11/13/24 Interaction system is finally in place! This will be expanded on later. Right now its just a simple system that puts a message in the console when "E" is pressed and an interactable object is in range. Save system, Items, and then Combat are next to be made.
11/10/24 @everyone Sorry for second ping today, but, I've been working on this and didn't get to the actual game coding yet. I now have a website: https://slowsnail12.com/ ! This will be getting the same news on To No Avail as the discord server and maybe some extra. It will also have information on future plans for games and other stuff I may not post here. As of now, it just has a home page, I spent a lot of time making and tweaking this, and It will be changed in the future. It will also be getting more pages (games, blog, about, contact?) as well as QoL updates. Again, this is just the first rendition of it that I have available.
